另一名東北地區的退伍軍人講述了他的一位戰友在一次鎮壓拉薩行動中「被死亡」的事。

「2008年，我們都去鎮壓拉薩暴動，他受了重傷，被軍隊放棄救治後死了。」軍人說道，他們是接到命令統一行動去槍殺藏人的，如果不去就會被軍隊槍斃。老百姓反擊時點燃了裝有汽油的酒瓶扔向軍方，很多軍人被燒傷，他最親的戰友是其中之一，「這些人中有的燒傷面積達90%，都救治的話國家要花不少錢，政府就不治療了，直接通知家屬來領骨灰。」這名軍人說。

「醫院沒給他們用治療燒傷的藥。」軍人繼續說：「我看我那位戰友躺在病床上說話時還很清醒，後來醫生往吊瓶裡加了一針，他慢慢就不能說話了。」
