武昌医院院长刘智明因感染新冠肺炎于2月17日去世。（网路图片）
【大纪元2020年02月18日讯】2月17日周一晚，微博认证为湖北省卫健委宣教中心党委书记、主任的账号@全科健康发布信息称，武昌医院院长刘智明因感染新冠肺炎于2月17日去世，终年51岁。
红星新闻从武昌医院多个信源证实了该消息。一位和刘智明熟识的医生称，刘智明此前在武汉市第三医院当副院长，前几年调到武昌医院当院长，平时身体很好，没想到感染新冠肺炎去世。
公开资料显示，刘智明是湖北十堰人，1991年毕业于武汉大学医学院，擅长颅脑外伤，颅内肿瘤，脑血管病的诊断和治疗，最擅长神经外科疾病手术治疗。
据了解，武昌医院是这次新冠肺炎武汉市首批定点医院之一，刘智明是主任医师，博士，神经外科专家。此前2月14日，武昌医院的59岁护士柳帆因感染新冠肺炎去世。
柳帆大年初二（1月26日）还上班，当时没有防护服，结果全家感染，父母过世，柳帆在情人节辞世，全家只剩弟弟在ICU抢救。
由于新冠疫情被当局隐瞒，使得大量医护人员也疏于防范。据中国疾控中心撰写的《新型冠状病毒肺炎流行病学特征分析》报告，截至2月11日，在为新冠肺炎患者提供诊治服务的422家医疗机构中，共有3019名医务人员感染了新型冠状病毒（1716名确诊病例）。
刘也是首个死于新冠疫情前线的医院院长。早前媒体曾报导，2月10日上午，华中科技大学附属同济医院器官移植科教授林正斌因感染新冠肺炎去世。林正斌生前曾进行了上千起肾移植手术。
日前，网上传出武汉中心医院后湖RCU（呼吸重症监护病房）的护士长给院领导的求救信。
信中说，后湖RCU是该院首个重症隔离病房，近日面对自己的同事频繁的濒临生死的抢救。除了媒体关注的李文亮医生已经去世，还有胡卫峰医生插管，易凡、梅仲明主任插管抢救。这些惨痛的状况让处于崩溃边缘的医护人员彻底崩溃了。她建议让医院领导安排最早上前线的后湖RCU医护人员隔离调整两周。
网上公开资料显示，梅仲明是武汉市中心医院眼科副主任医师，与去世的李文亮同属眼科。
易凡是武汉市中心医院心胸外科副主任医师。曾在武汉市协和医院心脏外科进修学习，参加各类心脏手术1500余例，其中主刀完成近百例心脏手术。
胡卫峰是武汉市中心医院外科医生，2天前胡卫峰妻子在网络发生求救，称胡已经上了ECMO（体外生命支持系统），急需痊愈的O型血新冠肺炎患者的血清救命。
