中國一名女碩士，捨棄美國綠卡回國，卻遭司法迫害幾致家破人亡，讓她告誡留學生千萬不要聽信中共宣傳回國。據《自由亞洲電台》報導，30歲的王然是美國伊利諾理工大學金融系的碩士研究生，在美國任職生活8年之後，2016年因重病父親的要求，放棄獲綠卡的機會回國。王然的父親王永明發生了一起案子，王永明經營民間放貸業務，被當地公安敲詐勒索，因王永明沒有滿足其要求，煽動、誘導想要逃避債務的借款人，對王永明進行誣告陷害，將其打成黑社會組織犯罪被捕。

此後，王然的母親也被抓，她把經歷寫成文章放在社交平台，但這篇文章僅貼出4個多小時就被刪除。王然說：「我回國以前，我其實是一個『小粉紅』，就是很熱愛這個國家。」在海外期間，她看了關於中國沒有法制和人權的新聞，她不相信，甚至認為台灣和香港學生批評中國是因為被蒙蔽了，直到自己親身經歷司法迫害，才明白原來被蒙蔽的是自己。「如果再有同學問我回來以後感受怎麼樣，我可能會告訴他們，千千萬萬不要回來，跟你想像中的完全不一樣。」

王然指，她父親因為拒絕當地公安王剛的敲詐勒索，所以遭到報復陷害。他們舉報公安已經半年了，但都沒有任何結果。王永明的代理律師徐昕指出，王永明的民間借貸行為，被包頭市警方以黑社會案件辦，並偽造證據構陷王永明放高利貸致人死亡。（即時新聞中心／綜合報導）
