自修例風波以來，有多宗自殺案被市民指屬可疑，當中15歲知專女生陳彥霖赤裸浮屍海面，及22歲科技大學男生周梓樂離奇墮樓亡。保安局今(20日)回覆立法會議員胡志偉查詢指，今年首10個月有6584宗「送院時死亡、送院前死亡及屍體發現案」，當中有27宗需警方跟進；608宗為「自殺、有人上吊及從高處墮下案件」，7宗需為跟進調查的可疑個案。保安局指，警方處理每宗死亡案件均遵從嚴謹的法例及指引，向死因庭作出呈報。警方會調查每宗須向死因裁判官報告的死亡個案，並把初步調查報告連同臨床病理學家或法醫科醫生的驗屍報告提交死因裁判官。如死因裁判官認為有關個案須予進一步調查，警方會展開進一步調查和提交更詳盡的死亡報告。2017年及2018年毋須作進一步死亡調查的個案宗數分別為9640宗及9893宗。至於進一步調查的死亡個案，2017年為1128宗，2018年有1083宗；需排期進行的死因研訊，前年有131宗，去年167宗。另於2017年及2018年向死因裁判官呈報的死亡個案，當中分別有916宗及955宗經死因裁判官確認為自殺案。Source: https://hk.on.cc/hk/bkn/cnt/news/20191120/bkn-20191120134741118-1120_00822_001.html
