網路消息稱，雲南西雙版納爆發登革熱，疫情非常嚴重，已經死了800多人，當地醫院已經人滿為患，但消息被封鎖。有網友說不是登革熱，而是伊波拉，因為疫情描述完全是伊波拉症狀。

據《昆明信息港》10月9日消息，西雙版納多地持續高溫多雨，也讓疫情進入到高發、易發階段。西雙版納疫情嚴峻。目前為止西雙版納全市已有10個鄉鎮街道、農場發生疫情，全市有433個網格片區出現病例，除本地病例外，周邊國家輸入性病例也不少。

有推特網友「joseph shi」在10月23日爆料，雲南西雙版納爆發疫情，已經死了800多人，我朋友的鄰居已經死了3個。國內在封鎖消息，這會使疫情迅速蔓延，望把消息傳出，以拯救更多的人。

臉書上名為「小妹防爆團」的用戶也發布現場視頻爆料說，雲南西雙版納爆發嚴重疫情，消息完全被封鎖。據瞭解單單一間景洪市醫院已經爆滿，周遭鄉鎮醫療單位因爆滿也無法再收新的病人。

另據《新唐人》10月25日報導說，有西雙版納導遊透露，上個月登革熱疫情最嚴重，但政府封鎖消息，只在上週報導，已治癒出院1235人，無人死亡，但以登革熱1%的死亡率來算，少說也有十多人死亡。

也有網友說：「七月就開始了，不僅在雲南，廣東都有，醫院天天噴大量藥水，也有醫護人員感染的」。

還有網友稱：「西雙版納那邊市區醫院一兩個月前就住滿了，至少3000人被收治隔離，感染者塞到了郊區小診所及周邊城鎮隔離，大批遊客取消已訂的酒店，改三亞及其它城市。」

也有當地網友認為:沒這麼嚴重，3、4000人住院是有的，今年他們自己沒有預先防控好，據說衛生部門的領導因此被拿下了好幾個。

近日中共官媒對鄰國發生的登革熱疫情卻做詳細報導。新華社10月22日報導說，據孟加拉國衛生部門公布的最新數據，今年孟加拉國登革熱患者已達93807人，其中104人死亡。

登革熱是登革病毒經蚊媒傳播引起的急性蟲媒傳染病。登革病毒感染後可導致隱性感染、登革熱、登革出血熱。症狀主要包括高熱，頭痛，肌肉、骨關節劇烈酸痛、部分患者出現皮疹、出血傾向、淋巴結腫大、白細胞計數減少、血小板減少等。如進一步惡化，可能出現休克，甚至危及生命。預防方法只能是減少蚊子叮咬，目前尚無特殊的治療方法和預防。
