武漢市民族宗教事務委員會主任、正局級領導王獻良，因感染「武漢肺炎」，昨（26日日）下午搶救無效死亡，成為第一位感染「武漢肺炎」而死亡的官員。在其任內，武漢出現多起拆除教堂、逮捕基督徒的打壓宗教自由案例，如今王獻良成首位染病喪命的中國官員，遭諷是惡有惡報！

「武漢肺炎」疫情持續擴散，根據《財新網》報導，多方消息顯示，武漢市民族宗教事務委員會原主任、正局級領導王獻良26日傍晚18時整，因感染「武漢肺炎」，搶救無效，在武漢市中心醫院（北區）去世，成為中國第一位因染上「武漢肺炎」而死的官員。

據悉，王獻良今年62歲（1957年5月出生），湖北監利人，曾任武漢市民政局副局長。2012年2月29日，武漢市十三屆人大常委會一次會議表決通過新一輪人事任免，其中王獻良被任命為武漢市民宗委主任。此後五年間他一直擔任該職，2017年4月之後，王獻良開始以武漢市民宗委正局級領導身份在媒體上曝光。

根據美國對中維權組織「對華援助協會」（China Aid）近兩年報導，武漢發生多起打壓宗教自由案件。包括在2018年10月28日，湖北武漢江夏區民宗局26日一日內取締區內兩間基督教家庭教會（House Church），該區的民宗局聯合多個政府部門採取行動，要求兩間家庭教會自行勸散或就近轉移信徒。並威脅如不停止宗教活動，將對負責人依法處理。

同年11月，武漢市政府要求境內的基督教家庭教會簽署承諾書，配合政府部門的專項治理，詳細填寫教會資料，並要定期匯報教會的宗教活動，不得接受境外人員來教會講道，境外人員參加宗教活動要及時向當局報告。去年（2019年）4月16日，武漢新洲區陽邏天主堂祈禱所被強拆十字架，再再顯示武漢地區宗教自由狀況相當糟糕。
