大家都知道，从上世纪70年代开始，共产党在大陆推行计划生育政策，在一胎化政策执行最严酷的90年代初期，笔者身边有同事怀孕二胎，在胎儿8个多月时被强行注射堕胎药物，产下一个还会哭的婴儿，稍后，婴儿就丧失了生命体征。有的孕妇躲藏起来，但计生部门的人员会找到孕妇的娘家，把她的父亲或者母亲抓捕到镇上的计划生育办公室囚禁，还会威逼拆房，牵走牛羊，处以财物罚款等，以此来逼迫孕妇现身。有些孕妇顶不住父母受苦，只能现身被带走强行堕胎。

中共编造罗织一个罪名，再加诸闫母身上自然是轻车熟路，信手拈来。这些事情对于在大陆成长的我们来说是显而易见的。这个时间点抓捕闫母显然是中共一贯的黑手段 – 抓母亲逼女儿就范，逼着闫博士闭嘴和不要发布她第二份科学报告。
